TAG TEAM MEET

Competitive Teams

At ConocoPhillips, we strive to provide all team members with an environment that is mentally healthy and physically challenging that allows each girl to reach her highest level of performance in the sport of gymnastics.

TAG TEAM  (Talented Area Gymnasts)

The ConocoPhillips Gymnastics Club, along with surrounding area clubs, offers a low-keyed  format for gymnasts to be introduced to competitive gymnastics.

This program is for young girls who want to experience competition in a challenging and fun atmosphere. Gymnasts practice 3 to 4 hours a week on routines that are developed by the USA Gymnastics Olympic Committee.  The routines involve basic gymnastics skills which novice gymnasts enjoy learning.  The ConocoPhillips TAG Team only competes  in a few competitions in Bartlesville and surrounding areas.  Meets are very positive and every child receives awards at the end of each meet.

 USA Gymnastics Team

The ConocoPhillips USA Gymnastics Team has a great tradition of competitive gymnastics that was started in 1966 when our Company hosted the  National Gymnastics Championships in Bartlesville.   This event  selected the United States  World Gymnastics Team and  was shown throughout the country on  National TV.

Since then, the club has produced many State, Regional and National Champions in the USA Gymnastics program.  The gymnastics club has had over 30 gymnasts receive college scholarships and  has produced 5 NCAA All-Americans.

The ConocoPhillips Gymnastics Team presently has gymnasts competing in levels 4-10.  This past season our club won numerous titles including the Level 9 State  Team Championship, and the 2005 Western National All-Around Champion.  The club will be hosting the 2006 Oklahoma Optional State Championships at the Adams Bldg. in downtown Bartlesville.  The Coaching Staff are all safety-certified by the USA Gymnastics Federation.  The nucleus of the staff has been together for over twenty years which lends to experience and continuity.  Two of the present staff members have already been inducted to the Oklahoma Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
